Operations Chemist (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Collect representative samples for environmental analysis and provide accurate results using analytical equipment.
• Report analytical data clearly to wider teams and maintain equipment and analysis records in line with internationally recognised standards.
• Advise on the handling and disposal of chemical inputs and outputs from the fabrication facility.
• Conduct site inspections and risk assessments, identify hazards, and recommend preventive measures.
• Coordinate chemical safety and health and safety training, including induction training for new hires.
• Prepare chemical mixes and etches for fab operations and clean reusable components.

Requirements

• HNC, GNVQ, or bachelor's degree in chemistry.
• Basic understanding of chromatography and mass spectrometry.
• Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in a laboratory environment and handling dangerous materials is advantageous.
