Project Management Intern - Summer 2027 (Construction)

Location: On-site in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, United States. The role includes time in the office, construction sites, and a bioprocessing facility, with occasional travel for inspections, project reviews, and site visits.

What you will do

• Prepare progress reports and update project management and engineering staff through meetings and project communications.
• Monitor construction activity, verify work against plans, and support site safety and environmental compliance.
• Track equipment and material receiving, coordinating with project management, supply chain, superintendents, and warehouse teams.
• Participate in project coordination and pre-construction meetings, commissioning activities, and communication with subcontractors and vendors.
• Support construction sequencing, delivery schedules, drawing clarifications, site configuration, and punch-list completion.
• Create documents and tools that improve project management processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Junior- or senior-level college student, or recent bachelor’s degree graduate, preferably in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in the relevant engineering field.
• Strong scheduling, organizational, budget management, time management, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new programs.
• Ability to work on-site and meet physical requirements including walking, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 60 pounds, working at heights and in confined spaces, and wearing personal protective equipment.

Hiring process
