Accountant - HK Clients (Malaysia-Based Remote | Cantonese/Mandarin Speaker)

Location: 100% remote from Malaysia; candidates must be based in Malaysia, have the legal right to work there, and provide a suitable home workspace with reliable high-speed internet. Core hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Malaysia/Hong Kong time. Employment pass sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Manage a high-volume portfolio of Hong Kong accounting clients and act as the primary point of contact.
• Ensure accurate, timely service delivery, billing, client communication, satisfaction, and retention.
• Prepare and review management accounts, schedules, profits tax computations, payroll reports, employer returns, and statutory filings.
• Prepare unaudited and group unaudited financial statements and profits tax returns.
• Provide basic advice on accounting, tax, payroll, and corporate secretarial matters.
• Supervise and guide staff while maintaining professional standards and strict client confidentiality.

Requirements

• Fluent spoken and written Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
• Recognised degree or diploma in Accountancy.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience for candidates without professional certification, or 2–3 years for professionally certified candidates.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, HKICPA, or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft applications, cloud accounting software, and preferably at least one year of Xero experience.
• Strong organisation, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and deadline-management skills.
