TL;DR
PET Tech Lead (Nuclear Medicine): Performing advanced PET imaging and overseeing daily nuclear medicine department operations with an accent on image quality, workflow coordination, and technologist support. Focus on completing camera QC, troubleshooting scheduling and staffing issues, and handling payroll processing, performance reviews, and process improvement.

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States; onsite role supporting Northern sites; open to internal candidates only

Salary: $45.00–$60.00 per hour

What you will do

  • Perform PET scan procedures, including radiopharmaceutical injection, protocol setup, image reconstruction, development, coordination, and archiving.
  • Oversee daily workflow and operations in the nuclear medicine department.
  • Complete and review daily, weekly, and monthly camera quality control at assigned locations.
  • Coordinate procedure scheduling, front-office functions, patient records, report distribution, and demographic accuracy.
  • Support technologists as a senior point of contact, including staffing coverage, schedule adjustments, and same-day problem resolution.
  • Assist with payroll processing, employee performance reviews, leadership communications, and process improvement.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in biology or nuclear medicine technology from an AMA-accredited program.
  • At least seven years of nuclear medicine experience, including two years of PET experience.
  • CNMT and/or ARRT (N) certification and applicable state licensure.
  • Ability to perform hands-on clinical work involving patient care, PET equipment, ionizing radiation, and exposure to clinic conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and lift or push patients in wheelchairs or stretchers weighing up to 300 pounds.
  • This position is onsite in Denver, Colorado and is currently open only to internal candidates.
