TL;DR
CT Technologist Trainee (Computed Tomography): Performing CT scans and developing clinical imaging skills through a structured six-month training program at an academic medical center with an accent on patient safety, imaging protocols, and radiological standards. Focus on administering IV contrast, operating CT equipment under supervision, completing certification requirements, and supporting care for patients at a Level I Trauma Center.
Location: Six-month training program at Lowell General Hospital, followed by work at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Onsite role with day training and evening or overnight shifts after certification.
Salary: $37.18–$47.41 per hour; starting rate of $43.00+ per hour. $15,000 sign-on bonus.

What you will do
- Perform CT scans under the supervision of a certified CT Technologist.
- Verify patients, procedures, imaging protocols, scanner parameters, and examination requirements.
- Provide patient instructions, ensure patient and staff safety, and administer IV contrast after confirming IV access.
- Perform equipment and device quality control and maintain compliance with radiological standards.
- Coordinate patient care with other departments and service lines.
- Maintain supplies and keep work areas clean and functional.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Radiology or a related field.
- ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification.
- Currently pursuing CT certification through ARRT or NMTCB.
- Eligible for a state Radiologic Technologist license.
- Knowledge of radiologic equipment, examinations, procedures, and radiation safety protocols.
- Ability to stand frequently, walk, lift 30–35 pounds, and operate radiology equipment with fine manual dexterity.
