Location: New York City, Flatiron office; in-person five days a week

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Own the integrity of accounting operations and build the financial systems and operating foundation for the next stage of growth.
• Redesign close, reconciliation, spend monitoring, reporting, and other accounting workflows with an AI-forward operating model.
• Determine where AI can perform accounting work, where human review is required, and how systems remain explainable and auditable.
• Build scalable procurement, accounts payable, expense management, purchasing approval, vendor commitment, and spend reporting systems.
• Improve the close cadence, reporting reliability, spend visibility, cost controls, billing, collections, and revenue recognition.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, People, and company leadership to turn internal accounting learnings into better systems and product insight.

Requirements

• 6–12 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including ownership of accounting operations at a high-growth company.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge across financial reporting, revenue recognition, accruals, capitalization, equity, and related areas.
• Systems mindset with the ability to design workflows, reliable data structures, controls, and scalable operating rhythms.
• Experience building accounting, procurement, spend, vendor-management, cost-allocation, or expense systems.
• Strong analytical judgment and the ability to explain financial changes and recommend business actions.
• Ability to partner effectively with technical and nontechnical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience managing or analyzing cloud, compute, model, data, infrastructure, or other variable technology costs.
• Experience evolving an accounting function from founder-led or highly manual processes into a scalable, controlled operation.
