Associate Manager, Market Access (Rare Disease)

What you will do

• Drive pricing and reimbursement submissions for National Health Insurance price listing.
• Prepare reimbursement dossiers and conduct price negotiations aligned with product strategy.
• Monitor reimbursement policies, pricing developments, and HTA rule changes in Japan.
• Provide Japan-specific insights for value and evidence strategies.
• Develop reimbursement tracking tools and annual tactical plans.
• Build relationships with MHLW, HTA bodies, key opinion leaders, and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Native-level Japanese proficiency required.
• In-country market access experience and knowledge of Japan's reimbursement environment, payer systems, and cost comparator pricing methodology.
• Experience negotiating NHI prices with authorities in Japan.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Project and process management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Nice to have

• Experience in rare diseases.
• Experience with cell or gene therapy launches.
• Experience with HTA negotiation in Japan.
