Equipment Specialist I

Location: Onsite in De Soto, Kansas, United States. Valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction is required.

hirify.global produces lithium-ion batteries and is expanding a large-scale electric vehicle battery manufacturing facility in De Soto, Kansas.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, recover, and inspect manufacturing equipment under established procedures.
• Install improvement parts, perform measurements, support equipment modifications, and verify machine functionality.
• Identify routine mechanical issues involving sensors, bearings, gearboxes, linear guides, conveyors, and related components.
• Monitor equipment and process data, use Excel charts and graphs, and support defect, alarm, downtime, and productivity reduction.
• Participate in PDCA problem solving, root cause investigations, corrective actions, machine startup, qualification, and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams while documenting repairs, inspections, equipment status, and shift pass-downs.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, three years of technical or apprenticeship training, or equivalent hands-on mechanical experience.
• At least two years of manufacturing, industrial maintenance, equipment support, automation, mechatronics, or related technical experience, or qualifying apprenticeship experience.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatic equipment, technical documents, and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine equipment issues, collect and interpret basic operational data, perform measurements and calculations, and use Microsoft Office and manufacturing support software.
• Working-level English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking is required.
• Valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction is required; the role is onsite. Successful completion of a Ramsay mechanical or electrical aptitude assessment is also required.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree in Electronic Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field.
• Four or more years of industrial maintenance experience, PLC training, or experience with automation, machine controls, vision systems, or MES.
• Experience with mechanical or electrical drawings, Lean Manufacturing, PDCA, Six Sigma, Excel reporting, Tableau, Python, JMP, welding, fabrication, machining, or equipment repair.
