Equipment Specialist I (Manufacturing)

hirify.global is expanding a lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility supporting sustainable energy solutions and electric vehicles.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and recover manufacturing equipment under established procedures.
• Inspect equipment, install improvement parts, perform precision measurements, and support machine modifications, startup, and qualification.
• Investigate equipment and process abnormalities using root-cause analysis and PDCA-based problem solving.
• Analyze equipment performance data with Excel, charts, and graphs to support corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams on reliability, safety, defect reduction, and productivity improvements.
• Document repairs and equipment status, complete shift pass-downs, and escalate complex technical issues to senior specialists or engineers.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, two years of technical training, apprenticeship training, or equivalent hands-on mechanical experience.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing, industrial maintenance, equipment support, automation, mechatronics, or related technical experience.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatic equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine equipment issues, interpret technical documents, collect operational data, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, manufacturing execution systems, and production support software.
• Working-level English reading, writing, and speaking skills and unrestricted authorization to work in the United States are required.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree in electronic technology, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, manufacturing technology, or a related field.
• Four or more years of manufacturing or industrial equipment experience.
• Experience with mechanical or electrical drawings, PLCs, automation, machine controls, vision systems, MES, Tableau, or Excel-based reporting.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PDCA, continuous improvement, Python, or JMP.
