Technical Accounting Lead (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States; on-site

Salary: $180K–$210K annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Lead documentation of technical accounting policies covering cost of revenue, allocations, leases, revenue, stock-based compensation, and fixed assets.
• Advise on strategic investments, acquisitions, and partnerships.
• Review monthly financials for compliance with accounting policies.
• Coordinate quarterly and annual audit requirements with the external audit firm.
• Lead evaluation of balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement presentation and ensure required disclosures.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives by upgrading the finance technology stack and developing AI-first processes.

Requirements

• CPA license.
• 2–5+ years at a Big Four firm, preferably serving public companies.
• 2–5+ years of in-house experience at a high-growth enterprise software company.
• Proficiency in US GAAP and experience designing and improving accounting processes.
• Ability to build solutions using AI and drive operational efficiency across the accounting function.
• Previous IPO experience with an enterprise B2B software company.

• Experience with a modern office-of-the-CFO technology stack.
