Associate Software Engineer (AI)

Location: New York City, New York, United States

Salary: $150,000 target base compensation per year, plus equity incentives and benefits.

What you will do

• Use AI to build, optimize, and maintain software systems.
• Collaborate across disciplines to understand users and iterate on ideas.
• Apply secure coding practices to protect user privacy and security.
• Participate in code reviews and share technical insights.
• Help develop systems that analyze large-scale medical records and rank healthcare providers.

Requirements

• Recent Computer Science or related STEM graduate from Spring 2026, or currently enrolled with expected graduation in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
• Solid computer science fundamentals and experience with frontend JavaScript and React or backend Python and Node.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or Elasticsearch; familiarity with AWS and Docker is beneficial.
• Experience shipping high-quality features through internships or personal projects.
• Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building with AI coding agents, including Claude Code.
• Familiarity with AWS and Docker.
