Location: Dearborn, Michigan, United States. Hybrid role requiring onsite attendance four or more days per week.
Salary: $85,400–$115,000 per year.

What you will do
- Design and deploy Python- and Streamlit-based AI-assisted tools for scenario generation, test-case authoring, and BDD/Gherkin acceptance criteria.
- Build and configure HIL simulation scenarios with dSPACE ModelDesk, MotionDesk/Aurelion, and IPG CarMaker.
- Automate closed-loop HIL test execution through dSPACE ControlDesk APIs, Python, and CAN signaling for ADAS, PSCM, ABS, and other ECUs.
- Develop requirements and test coverage gap analysis tools integrating Jama, TestRail, SharePoint, and Jira.
- Create parsers and AI-driven workflows that extract tester-facing parameters and harness data from electrical schematics.
- Collaborate with feature owners, systems engineers, and software validation teams to integrate reusable automation modules into lab workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with dSPACE toolchains or vehicle simulation platforms such as IPG CarMaker and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Strong Python skills for test automation, API integration, and internal tool development.
- Understanding of CAN bus, embedded microcontrollers, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with requirements and test lifecycle management and BDD/Gherkin test structuring.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in robotics, mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience with AI/LLM workflows, NLP pipelines, PyTorch, OpenCV, or YOLO.
- Experience with ROS2, RViz, kinematics, C++, MATLAB scripting, or Excel/VBA automation.
- Familiarity with ISO 26262, ASPICE, SAFe, or Scrum.
