Junior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Location: Beavercreek, Ohio, United States; primarily onsite at the Beavercreek headquarters with occasional trips to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.

What you will do

• Develop full-stack web applications for search, discovery, visualization, and retrieval of mission data.
• Interface with end-users to understand and refine application requirements.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and server-side logic using Python.
• Develop user interfaces with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and modern web frameworks.
• Collaborate with peers and decision makers while working independently on ambiguous requirements.
• Support software deliveries and occasional customer meetings at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another engineering discipline.
• 0–3 years of experience in software-focused engineering, web application development with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and Git.
• Experience with CSS, SASS or LESS, and HTML.
• Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and server-side logic with Python.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• An active TS/SCI clearance is preferred; the ability to obtain it is required, with sponsorship available.

Nice to have

• Python frameworks such as FastAPI.
• Web mapping technologies such as Cesium.
• PostgreSQL, database design, querying, integration, and ORM tools such as SQLAlchemy.
• Container technologies such as Docker or Podman.
