What you will do

• Dispatch transportation equipment according to Linehaul plans and schedules.
• Maximize trailer capacity while meeting package delivery obligations and maintaining service integrity.
• Enter dispatch events into the transportation management system and verify equipment, load, and unload status through yard inventories and checks.
• Investigate and report schedule delays, accidents, equipment failures, and DOT roadside violations.
• Implement contingency plans for en-route breakdowns or accidents and communicate safety initiatives.
• Compile operational reports and support Business Control Self Assessment audit activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Dispatch experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Linehaul field operations, transportation procedures, and DOT regulations.
• Time management, organizational, multitasking, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Must work onsite at the Greenwood, Indiana location.
