What you will do

• Migrate database objects and code between non-production environments in collaboration with developers and users.
• Design and build databases, schemas, stored procedures, and other database objects.
• Implement backup, recovery, disaster recovery, security, and database connectivity procedures.
• Develop UNIX/Linux scripts for backups, data transfers, monitoring, and other operational tasks.
• Support query development, database usage, performance tuning, and recovery activities.
• Provide technical direction to less senior DBAs and contribute to multidisciplinary application projects.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of overall experience in database administration.
• Extensive Oracle RDBMS administration experience, including migration and upgrades to Oracle 19c and higher.
• Experience administering Oracle databases in UNIX or Linux environments and writing UNIX/Linux scripts.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle RMAN, Oracle RAC, ASM, database installation, creation, sizing, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL knowledge; experience with logical, physical, and data-warehouse modeling is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; suitable experience may substitute. Strong analytical, application design, teamwork, and client coordination skills required.
