Logistics Operator 4 (APU 4-A) (Manufacturing)

Location: Vernon Hills, Illinois, United States; onsite warehouse and manufacturing work. The role follows 12-hour rotating shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:15 PM on a 2-2-3 schedule, including every other weekend. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not indicated.

Salary: $25.00–$28.00 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Support warehouse operations when the Warehouse Supervisor is absent and help delegate departmental tasks.
• Coordinate material movement between warehouses, production, and quality areas.
• Train Packers and Material Handlers and help lead a team of six.
• Monitor safety, PPE, 5S, line clearance, scrap, storage, staging, and FIFO procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation, inventory records, goods-received processes, and team-level audits.
• Identify safety, quality, productivity, equipment, and process issues and support corrective and continuous improvement actions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lead a team of six and provide clear, professional communication.
• Ability to operate a forklift and lift up to 55 pounds.
• Ability to alternate between sitting and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to perform Material Handler and Packer responsibilities.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP materials management or the ability to learn it quickly.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, teamwork, and leadership skills.
