Production Fill Technician (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: Round Lake, Illinois, United States; onsite night shift from 6:00 pm to 6:30 am

What you will do

• Operate the Galaxy machine and other equipment used in the mix and fill process.
• Set up equipment, perform batch changeovers, sterilization, cleaning, and line clearances.
• Prepare drug formulations, weigh materials, sanitize distilled water systems, and clean tanks and pressure vessels.
• Build and test production sterilizing filters, manage datalogger output, and troubleshoot equipment alarms.
• Perform in-process inspections, process adjustments, and production documentation in accordance with GMPs and plant procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping and complete drop sanitization activities; overtime may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in GMP manufacturing is required.
• Must not be allergic to penicillin or cephalosporin drugs.
• Must understand, speak, read, and write English for SOPs, specifications, training materials, GMPs, and manuals.
• Visual acuity of 20/25 near vision, with or without corrective lenses.
• Basic math, computer, documentation, and equipment troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to wear protective equipment and a respirator and work in confined spaces, with pressurized equipment, temperatures from -25°F to -70°F, hot surfaces, and wet conditions; candidates must pass a physical job placement examination.

Nice to have

• Six or more months of technical or mechanical machine operating experience.
