Tax Experienced Associate - Real Estate Property Tax

Salary: $73,730–$96,780 per year in Dallas and Frisco, Texas

What you will do

• Manage property tax filings across multiple states.
• File appeals, maintain appeal calendars, attend hearings, and track deadlines.
• Handle Freeport Exemption filings where applicable.
• Negotiate with assessors on multi-state property portfolios and maintain client and assessor relationships.
• Apply property valuation methodologies, verify values against established guidelines, and process tax bills accurately.
• Manage and motivate staff, take ownership of team assignments, and deliver work within deadlines.

Requirements

• At least one year of State and Local Tax experience, with a successful track record in the real estate property tax market.
• Four-year degree and license eligibility required; interest in pursuing CMI.
• Previous OneSource/PTMS software experience required.
• Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, technical, verbal, written, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and meet travel requirements.
