Manufacturing Quality Technician - Machining (3rd Shift)

Location: Onsite in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States; 3rd shift. No relocation offered.

Salary: $47,000–$65,200 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Support machining production with quality activities focused on engine machining.
• Troubleshoot process variation and participate in formal problem-solving and corrective action teams.
• Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, and handheld gauges.
• Lead quality spill containment, tagging, sorting, and inspection of suspect products.
• Create standardized work, quality alerts, and related training materials.
• Conduct ISO process audits, support SIR activities, interpret statistical reports, and participate in Lean Six Sigma projects.

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience in complex machining operations, quality assurance, or dimensional inspection; five or more years may substitute for a degree.
• Knowledge of machining, metrology, GD&T, blueprints, tolerances, and symbols.
• Proficiency with PC software, Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint, including collecting and presenting data.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
• Willingness to work extended hours and occasional weekends or holidays.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds repetitively and 50 pounds in a single lift; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree in a related field.
• Knowledge of quality systems and procedures, Lean Six Sigma, ISO, and safety methodologies.
• ASQ Certified Quality Technician certification or willingness to obtain and maintain it.
• Completed GD&T coursework or training.
