hirify.globalss="what-you-will-do">What you will do

• Manage accounting functions and multiple client accounts, software systems, and charts of accounts.
• Coordinate accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.
• Complete standard and complex account reconciliations and support month-end close.
• Prepare, understand, and review financial statements, general ledger activity, cash flow, and allocations.
• Prepare sales tax returns, Form 1099s, audit and tax return workpapers, and other client-requested documentation.
• Support internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consultative projects while overseeing CAAS staff.

• Four years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience.
• State and local government industry experience is highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to provide technical guidance, recommendations, and alternate courses of action to clients and engagement teams.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and industry-specific accounting requirements.
