Focus on maintaining general ledger integrity, researching complex accounting issues, supporting system upgrades, and producing accurate financial reports.
Location: Austin, Texas, United States; hybrid attendance with at least two on-site days per week. Remote work must be performed from a Texas residence.
Salary: $74,000–$102,000 annually, based on experience and level.

What you will do
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records and financial statements.
- Generate balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other standard financial reports.
- Support monthly and annual close processes, including accurate journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
- Maintain accounting controls and perform accounting functions across fixed assets, inventory, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing.
- Support internal and external audits, including the annual financial statement audit.
- Contribute to accounting system maintenance, upgrades, and conversion projects while communicating fiscal information to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Level 1 requires no minimum work experience; Level 2 requires at least two years of related experience beyond degree requirements; Level 3 requires at least three years.
- Knowledge of GAAP, regulatory requirements, and organizational accounting policies.
- Ability to analyze accounting transactions, reconcile accounts, research discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work on-site in Austin at least two days per week and perform remote work from a Texas residence.
Nice to have
- CPA certification.
- Experience with financial systems, spreadsheet programs, and database programs.
- Experience training or mentoring less-experienced coworkers.
