Inventory Senior Accountant (Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid, Escazú, Costa Rica

What you will do

• Prepare accurate financial and accounting analyses, reports, journals, ledgers, and supporting schedules.
• Lead significant elements of month-end close and monthly P&L reviews with supported manufacturing sites.
• Calculate global obsolete and slow-moving inventory reserves.
• Review cost of sales, trend analysis, inventory destructions, manufacturing variances, and intercompany cost transactions.
• Prepare SOX documentation and support internal and external audits, issue remediation, and statutory reviews.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with finance, manufacturing, audit, tax, and shared services stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and local accounting requirements across different regions.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, including SAP/S4HANA and JDE.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong English communication skills and fluency in Mandarin Chinese are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in a fast-paced multinational company or shared services environment.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Query, or other data analytics tools.
• French or Spanish language skills.
