Operations Finance Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Provide financial leadership and business partnership to site operations leaders and plant staff.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, annual operating planning, trend reviews, and financial reporting for assigned sites or platforms.
• Analyze revenue, COGS, headcount, profitability, inventory, cash, capital investments, risks, and opportunities.
• Partner with Cost Accounting and manufacturing operations to ensure accurate material, labor, overhead, inventory valuation, and standard costs.
• Support month-end close, journal entry analysis, reconciliations, flash reports, KPI reporting, and operational-to-financial performance bridges.
• Lead site-level continuous improvement measurement and reporting while supporting lean initiatives and senior-management decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or master’s degree is strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years of finance or accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of local governmental statutes and Free Trade Zone regulations in Costa Rica, including PROCOMER and Ministerio de Hacienda.
• Strong analytical, data-driven, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as Epicor, JD Edwards, or SAP.
• English proficiency is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean Accounting.
• Experience with Workday, Adaptive for Financial Planning, Hyperion, Cognos, or TM1.
