Location: Red Cat Corporate, Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. The role requires access to ITAR/EAR-controlled technology and therefore requires proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residence; sponsorship is not available for export-restricted work authorization.
Compensation: Base pay plus an annual equity package and potential bonuses.

What you will do
- Lead administration and oversight of U.S. Government prime contracts, subcontracts, task orders, delivery orders, and Other Transaction Agreements.
- Advise executive leadership and cross-functional teams on FAR, DFARS, contract obligations, acquisition structures, and compliance risks.
- Support capture, proposal, solicitation review, bid/no-bid decisions, pricing, negotiations, awards, modifications, disputes, and contract closeout.
- Manage relationships with Government Contracting Officers, acquisition officials, prime contractors, and subcontractors.
- Oversee federal contracting registrations, representations, certifications, SAM.gov updates, contract records, and audit readiness.
- Build a scalable government-contracting compliance function, including policies, controls, training, and corrective-action plans.
Requirements
- At least seven years, preferably ten or more years, of direct U.S. Government-side experience as a Contracting Officer supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force, or another DoD component.
- Prior experience as a warranted Contracting Officer with authority over contract awards, negotiations, administration, modifications, or terminations.
- Extensive knowledge of FAR, DFARS, DoD acquisition regulations, federal contract types, source selection, cost and price analysis, and post-award administration.
- Experience resolving contract-performance issues, changes, claims, disputes, compliance matters, and financial or contractual risks.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant Government acquisition experience.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residence is required for work subject to ITAR/EAR restrictions, and candidates must not require sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Ten or more years of federal or DoD contracting experience, including senior-level or unlimited Contracting Officer warrant experience.
- DAWIA or equivalent federal acquisition credentials and experience in the GS-1102 Contracting Series.
- Experience with aviation, unmanned aircraft systems, autonomous systems, defense technology, OTAs, IDIQ contracts, and rapid-acquisition authorities.
- Familiarity with DCAA, DCMA, CMMC, cybersecurity, ITAR/EAR, Government property, cost accounting, and technical-data or software rights.
- Existing security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
