Contracts Manager (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Austin, TX; hybrid on-site with up to 10% travel. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance are required.

What you will do

• Manage the full lifecycle of government, public sector, and commercial contracts, from proposal development through negotiation, performance, modifications, and close-out.
• Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs, teaming agreements, technology agreements, reseller agreements, subcontracts, vendor agreements, strategic partnerships, and prime contracts.
• Support RFIs, RFPs, proposal development, task orders, contract modifications, and compliance activities.
• Oversee contract obligations, deliverables, milestones, reporting requirements, subcontractor agreements, and contractual flow-downs.
• Analyze contractual obligations, intellectual property considerations, risks, and performance requirements for leadership and internal stakeholders.
• Develop scalable contract policies, templates, tools, compliance matrices, and contract lifecycle management processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to ITAR regulations, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in contract management, procurement, or a similar field, including at least 4 years in government contracting.
• Experience managing CPFF, FFP, OTA, and T&M contracts, including complex multi-year government and international agreements.
• Experience with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR, federal procurement standards, contract negotiation, execution, compliance, flow-downs, and performance requirements.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with business development, capture, engineering, finance, operations, procurement, and supply chain teams.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree in Business, Law, or Public Administration.
• NCMA certification such as CPCM, CFCM, or CCMA.
• Experience with contract management tools, CRM systems, CLM implementation, international contracting, and export controls.
• Active DoD security clearance at Secret level or higher.
