Accounts Payable

Location: Ontario, Canada

Salary: $40,000–$45,000 per year, with eligibility for a bonus or merit program.

What you will do

• Process accounts payable, expense transactions, invoices, and remittances accurately and on time.
• Verify expense claims, mathematical accuracy, and required expenditure approvals to safeguard corporate assets.
• Respond to supplier and employee enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Manage GST/HST and provincial/state tax returns and remittances.
• Maintain organized supplier invoice and expense report files and assist with document shipping.
• Provide accounting support to the Finance team and business unit leadership.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education focused on business or accounting, or at least two years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Nice to have

• Experience with Great Plains or similar accounting software.
• Experience with Sage 500, Simply Accounting, or Sage Accpac.
