Senior New Product Introduction (NPI) Quality Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY, United States

Salary: $100,000–$135,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead quality activities across product development, qualification, and production launch.
• Interpret customer and contractual quality requirements and ensure effective organizational flow-down.
• Support design reviews and product development through quality, manufacturing, and risk-based decision-making.
• Drive APQP and AS9145-compliant development processes.
• Develop inspection strategies for receiving, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and final inspection.
• Lead statistical analysis, failure investigations, corrective actions, process improvement, and production readiness activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of statistical methods and their application to quality improvement and process control.
• Working knowledge of aerospace quality standards and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
• Experience with quality, statistical, spreadsheet, database, and reporting software.
• Ability to work onsite in Buffalo, NY and access U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing.
• Experience supporting new product development and production transition programs.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and test processes.
• Familiarity with qualification, PPAP, configuration management, traceability, audits, and Common Development Process methodologies.
