2027 Software Engineering Intern (Finance)

Annual base pay: $125,000–$145,000, prorated for the internship period

hirify.global is a global multi-manager hedge fund investing across quantitative, tactical, fundamental equity, and discretionary macro and fixed-income strategies using proprietary technology, infrastructure, and risk analytics.

What you will do

• Spend ten weeks working with a software engineering team in the Technology division.
• Design, develop, deploy, and support applications, features, and technology platforms.
• Improve the functionality, performance, stability, efficiency, and scalability of research and trading systems.
• Contribute to Treasury Technology systems for securities lending, financing, repo trading, FX hedging, collateral management, and margin optimization, or to Compliance Technology systems for trade monitoring, position limits, surveillance, trading restrictions, and regulatory reporting.
• Complete and present a summer-long project related to the assigned team.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in a technical or quantitative field.
• Demonstrated software engineering skills through internships, coding competitions, or publications.
• Interest or experience in a programming language such as C++, Java, or Python.
• Basic knowledge of Git and databases.
• Creativity, analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, ownership, and fast problem-solving abilities.
• Interest in capital markets or finance.

Nice to have

• Previous financial industry experience.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative or technical field.
