Security Researcher (Spanish)

Location: USA - Remote

Salary: $70,000–$95,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Cybersecurity company developing an AI-native platform to protect organizations from breaches and process large-scale security event data.

What you will do

• Collect timely, actionable information on Latin America-based hacktivist and state-sponsored threat actors.
• Use advanced OSINT methods to investigate leads and monitor actors across online communities, forums, social media, hidden services, and the deep and dark web.
• Identify current and emerging cyber threats, trends, and relevant technical information.
• Produce clear, contextualized internal reports that support intelligence analysis.
• Collaborate on analytical reports and threat estimates covering Latin America and global threat activity.
• Apply secure operational tradecraft and OPSEC practices.

Requirements

• Extensive experience navigating cyber threat actor environments, including social media, hidden services, and forums.
• Strong knowledge of Latin America-based hacktivist and state-sponsored groups, including their technical terminology, tools, and tactics.
• Advanced Spanish-language OSINT investigation skills and fluent spoken and written Spanish.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments, solve difficult problems creatively, and work persistently under tight deadlines with minimal guidance.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
• Undergraduate degree, military training and experience, relevant security certifications, or an academic background in cyber intelligence, intelligence studies, security studies, political science, or international relations.

Nice to have

• Additional Portuguese or French language capabilities.
• Extensive background in Latin American cyber threat actors.
• Intelligence community, HUMINT, cyber threat intelligence, or virtual HUMINT experience.
• Knowledge of geopolitical and transnational events in Latin America.
