Accounting Summer Intern (Fort Worth, TX) 2027

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States. This is a full-time hybrid position with one remote workday per week. Relocation is required for candidates located more than 50 miles from Fort Worth.

Monthly salary: $4,500.

What you will do

• Support internal and external reporting, account reconciliations, contract research, system updates, and ad hoc requests.
• Collaborate with operating and corporate departments on financial planning, analysis, and budgeting.
• Develop processes, models, and reports for expense monitoring and forecasting.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and support cost optimization.
• Oversee freight-related revenue processes from shipping instructions through payment collection.
• Partner with technology management to improve controls, reporting, applications, and financial processes.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old upon hire.
• Pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in Accounting at an accredited university.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
• Less than three years of professional experience, excluding internships, part-time jobs, and work completed while pursuing a degree.
• Leadership, teamwork, communication, adaptability, resilience, and the ability to meet deadlines are required.

Nice to have

• CPA license or intention to pursue CPA certification.
• Prior accounting internship or other accounting experience under three years.
• Leadership experience in a campus, community, or extracurricular organization.
