Lead Data Architect (AI)

Location: Remote, but the candidate must live close to the designated IT location in Dallas/Frisco, Texas; occasional travel to hirify.global offices may be required.

Salary: $129,300–$177,800 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Define and drive enterprise data, analytics, and architecture strategy across Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and related cloud services.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available data platform solutions.
• Establish architecture standards and reference patterns for data integration, governance, security, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership for API-based, event-driven, real-time, and distributed integration architectures.
• Partner with engineering, product, business, governance, and security stakeholders to align solutions with enterprise and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor engineering teams, lead architecture reviews, and evaluate emerging technologies for measurable business value.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in solution, data, or enterprise architecture roles.
• Deep hands-on experience with Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and modern data platform architectures.
• Experience with operational data integration, real-time APIs, big data integration, analytics, API-based systems, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience designing secure solutions covering identity management, access controls, secrets management, and data protection.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML and Generative AI architectures, plus strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience with GCP and/or AWS.
• Experience leading cross-functional architecture initiatives and driving technology strategy.
