EDI Test Engineer, Sr

Location: Remote, USA

Salary: $60,240–$73,500 per year, with potential additional compensation such as bonuses.

What you will do

• Develop and review test plans, test cases, test data, procedures, and test scripts based on functional requirements.
• Coordinate and execute functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and User Acceptance Testing.
• Manage testing-related user stories and tasks, track progress, report blockers, and oversee defect management.
• Present product demonstrations and communicate testing status to scrum teams, product owners, management, customers, and federal stakeholders.
• Clarify EDI requirements and testing scenarios across business, design, development, testing, federal, and contractor teams.
• Support testing strategy improvements, tool selection, automation exploration, and documentation quality.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of IT industry experience; a bachelor's degree in a related field or an additional 8 years of experience.
• Advanced experience testing EDI transactions, including 837, 835, 999, 997, 270/271, 277CA, 277RFAI, and NCPDP.
• Proficiency with HL7, FHIR, EDI, X12/EDIFACT, HIPAA requirements, EDI layouts, loops, segments, and data elements.
• Experience writing and executing SQL queries and interpreting functional requirements and technical design documents.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Unix, Windows, SAFe Agile, and scrum environments.
• Ability to pass a Tier 2/Modest Background Investigation and work remotely from the USA.

• Hands-on experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
• Experience with FTP, SFTP, and AS2 data exchange protocols.
• Experience supporting high-visibility, mission-critical federal projects.
• Strong coordination, communication, reporting, analytical, and project planning abilities.
