Enterprise Risk Officer (AI)

Location: Boston, United States; hybrid work environment with remote and onsite work

Base salary: $132,500–$198,500 annually, plus eligibility for a competitive incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the design and operational execution of the Technology and AI Risk program.
• Partner with the AI Governance Group to implement and operate the AI governance framework, including intake, review, approval, and monitoring of AI use cases.
• Conduct risk assessments covering generative AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, advanced analytics, cloud adoption, legacy-system integration, and infrastructure modernization.
• Evaluate risks involving transparency, explainability, reliability, bias, fairness, privacy, data quality, security, resilience, human oversight, and vendor dependencies.
• Assess governance controls, key risk indicators, monitoring routines, risk metrics, dashboards, and reporting for senior management and governance committees.
• Facilitate workshops and training while collaborating with Risk, Technology, Compliance, Legal, Information Security, Data Governance, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8–12+ years of relevant experience in enterprise, operational, technology, or IT risk, investment management, financial services, or technology.
• Knowledge of AI governance, AI risk management, machine learning, generative AI, intelligent automation, advanced analytics, model governance, data governance, and emerging technology risk.
• Experience with DORA, UK Operational Resilience, and evolving AI regulatory frameworks and best practices.
• Ability to translate technical and emerging technology risks into practical business, control, and governance considerations for senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, project management, organizational, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills; periodic domestic and international travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience using Archer GRC.
• Experience implementing, operating, or independently reviewing responsible AI or AI governance programs.
• Experience with GRC platforms, workflow tools, risk analytics, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Understanding of information security, third-party risk, model risk, SOX, COSO, and operational resilience requirements.
• Investment or asset management experience.
