Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (C#)

Location: Columbia, Maryland, United States. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $94,000–$135,000 base pay plus bonus.

What you will do

• Design, build, maintain, and evolve automated test frameworks and test suites for AutoChem software products.
• Own test automation coverage end to end and adapt the framework to product architecture and new testing needs.
• Manage automated test source, pipelines, and work items in Azure DevOps.
• Analyze software architecture for testability and collaborate with developers on testable design decisions.
• Define quality metrics, identify and prioritize defects, and drive continuous improvement in automation and release reliability.
• Coordinate automation work performed by globally distributed testing resources and act as the local subject matter expert.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent education and professional experience.
• At least five years of hands-on experience as an SDET or software engineer in a test-automation-focused role.
• Experience designing test strategies, building automation frameworks, and writing production-quality code.
• Working knowledge of C# sufficient to read, write, and debug within a C# codebase.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools, object-oriented design principles, unit testing, and complex software products.
• United States work authorization without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship is required.
