Senior SAN Storage Administrator – NAS & Storage Systems Expert

Location: Lisbon, Portugal — hybrid. Candidates must have an existing legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Monitor and manage NAS, SMB, and NFS storage systems.
• Administer SAN environments based on NetApp, DELL PowerScale, and HITACHI VSP.
• Implement and optimize SMB storage systems and Windows Active Directory integrations.
• Provision SAN disks and configure storage systems for performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain Bash, KSH, Python, Perl, and Ansible scripts to automate storage management.
• Diagnose complex SAN issues, minimize downtime, maintain documentation, and collaborate with infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar Senior Storage Administrator role.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Expertise with NAS platforms including NetApp, DELL Isilon, and HITACHI VSP.
• Hands-on experience with SMB Windows shares, DFS, and Windows Active Directory.
• Strong understanding of NFS, iSCSI, and NVMe protocols, plus Shell, Python, and Ansible scripting.
• Fluent English at B2–C1 level and an existing legal right to work in the EU are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IBM GPFS.
• Experience with IBM Power systems, AIX, Linux on Power, VMware, and virtualized servers.
• Knowledge of ITIL incident and change management processes.
