Research Associate III (Peptide / Protein Chemistry)

What you will do

• Execute and optimise assays for characterising peptides and peptide formulations.
• Develop novel bioanalytical assays and quality control testing methods.
• Apply analytical techniques to characterise peptides and proteins, including LC, RP/SEC-HPLC, DLS, and SLS.
• Provide wet-lab support for in-vitro scientists and respond to peptide characterisation needs from Discovery and CMC teams.
• Maintain accurate experimental records and generate research reports from large datasets.
• Support laboratory and facility operation, including training, cleaning, and maintenance.

Requirements

• MSc with further experience or PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related Life Sciences field, or equivalent academic or industrial experience.
• Wet-lab experience in a molecular biology laboratory, with a background in peptide or protein research.
• Experience executing and developing analytical methods and assays for peptide or protein characterisation.
• Experience with biological molecule characterisation techniques such as LC, RP/SEC-HPLC, DLS, or SLS.
• Ability to work methodically in a fast-paced laboratory environment, prioritise independently, and deliver high-quality results.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a cooperative, flexible, and confidential approach to work.
