Internship in Legal (AI)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid working with home and office work. Candidates must reside in the Netherlands and be ready to work from the Amsterdam offices. During the internship, enrollment at a Dutch university is mandatory, or at an EU university for EU passport holders.

Internship allowance: €700 based on a 36-hour work week.

What you will do

• Analyze legal and regulatory developments relating to AI, data, technology, and emerging regulatory frameworks.
• Prepare legal research, impact assessments, and practical guidance for internal stakeholders.
• Assess proposed AI use cases and support internal governance and risk processes.
• Collaborate with experts involved in developing and deploying AI and data-driven solutions.
• Support the development of AI Agents within the Legal department.

Requirements

• Enrollment in a university programme, preferably focused on technology law, data protection, intellectual property, digital regulation, or artificial intelligence.
• Demonstrated interest in AI, emerging technologies, and their legal and regulatory implications.
• Residence in the Netherlands and readiness to work from the Amsterdam offices.
• Ability to handle legal research, regulatory analysis, and practical legal advice on innovative technologies.
• Strong written and spoken English required.
• Enrollment at a Dutch university, or at an EU university for EU passport holders, is mandatory for the duration of the internship.

Nice to have

• Knowledge or interest in payment regulation, data protection, artificial intelligence, digital assets, or innovation-related regulation.
• Another foreign language.
