Accountant (Insurance)

What you will do

• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports in compliance with IFRS17 and K-ICS requirements.
• Monitor and reconcile financial data across reporting cycles.
• Support quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Collaborate with actuarial, risk, tax, finance, regulatory, and audit stakeholders.
• Improve financial reporting processes and contribute to finance transformation initiatives.
• Maintain accounting policies and procedures and assist with regulatory submissions.

Requirements

• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with IFRS17 financial reporting.
• Knowledge of Korean Insurance Capital Standard (K-ICS) requirements and reporting.
• Relevant accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
• Experience with financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and regulatory reporting.
• Strong analytical skills for identifying discrepancies and evaluating complex financial data.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance or reinsurance.
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Experience with finance transformation or process improvement projects.
• Communication skills in Korean and English.
• Experience in a multinational or matrix organisation and knowledge of actuarial concepts.
