TL;DR
Production Accountant (Esports): Managing financial data, budgets, vendor rates, and event expenses for global and regional esports productions in APAC with an accent on production finance, cost control, and local regulatory compliance. Location: Based in South Korea with on-site support for live events and regional and international travel

What you will do
- Provide on-site production finance support for major regional and global APAC events.
- Maintain vendor rate management systems and prepare event production budgets using standardized charts of accounts.
- Track and report production expenses against budgets in real time to identify financial risks and savings opportunities.
- Prepare post-event financial retrospectives linking detailed costs with key business metrics.
- Partner with regional production directors, Finance, and Legal teams to address local financial and operational risks.
- Produce cost benchmarks, year-over-year comparisons, and reports supporting contract negotiations.
Requirements
- Bilingual Korean and English communication skills are required.
- Experience managing budgets, tracking costs, or performing financial analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with the ability to act as a finance partner.
- Ability to manage projects and initiatives within global timelines and budget constraints.
- Availability for regional and international travel is required.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related business field.
- 5+ years of production accounting or finance experience in esports, sports, entertainment, or media agencies.
- Experience as a line producer or with media budgeting software such as Movie Magic, Media Web, or Showbiz.
- Experience using AI, Airtable, and Google Suite for analysis and automation.
- Knowledge of Korean and APAC tax and regulatory compliance for event production.
