Senior Underwriter or Underwriter - Trade Credit (New Business)

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Underwrite new business submissions across the Trade Credit portfolio in line with business plan targets and risk appetite.
• Drive profitable growth by meeting individual and team new business objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, customers, business partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide technical underwriting expertise for business development and trading decisions.
• Represent hirify.global Corporate Solutions in the market and strengthen its Trade Credit presence.
• Contribute to business planning, portfolio management, pipeline prioritization, and strategic decision-making.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the Credit Insurance market and strong knowledge of Trade Credit underwriting principles and products.
• Demonstrated success in new business development, pipeline management, and closing deals in a commercial underwriting environment.
• Strong technical underwriting skills, including risk assessment, financial analysis, and decision-making within delegated authority levels.
• Excellent broker development and relationship management skills, including influencing, presenting, and negotiating.
• Skills in analytical thinking, business management, critical thinking, financial modeling, regulatory compliance, risk management, stakeholder management, and team management.
