Corporate Audit Senior Manager - International (Biotech)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; work out of the hirify.global Capability Center Portugal. International travel of up to 40% per year is required. Flexible work arrangements are available.

What you will do

• Execute the annual audit plan approved by the Audit Committee.
• Lead audits covering financial, business, anti-bribery and anti-corruption, healthcare compliance, and privacy activities across non-US commercial regions.
• Support audits for research and development and manufacturing sites.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to audit staff and support the Audit Director.
• Advise management through independent assurance and consulting services, executive presentations, and special projects.
• Develop quality assurance and improvement programs and assess audit controls, governance, documentation, and process effectiveness.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, compliance, or a related field.
• Typically 8+ years of experience in auditing, accounting, finance, or compliance.
• Strong analytical, project management, communication, leadership, decision-making, and business judgment skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and interact confidentially with senior management.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 40% per year.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.

Nice to have

• External audit, Big Four, Fortune 500, or internal audit experience.
• CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent advanced certification.
• Experience auditing controls and working with internal control and risk frameworks.
• Pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience and knowledge of anti-bribery and anti-corruption regulations.
• Experience with third-party audits, due diligence, SAP, Tableau, Microsoft Office, and Visio; additional languages are also valued.
