Junior Accounts Payable - Payments (Finance)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid working model combining onsite and offsite work.

What you will do

• Create, analyze, and execute payment proposals and urgent payments.
• Manage intercompany payments and analyze vendor accounts.
• Prepare payment forecasts and other financial reports.
• Use internal and external banking tools to process payments.
• Investigate and resolve payment issues while meeting accuracy and deadline requirements.
• Follow compliance and internal control procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in accounting and the payments process, or a finance/accounting degree with administrative accounting experience.
• Knowledge of standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and time management.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, troubleshoot problems, communicate effectively, and work with all organizational levels.
• Intermediate English proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Excel and SAP.
• Experience implementing and documenting process improvements.
