Commissioning Manager - Factory Acceptance Testing

What you will do

• Develop and maintain the factory acceptance testing program across the project portfolio.
• Set inspection scopes, hold points, acceptance criteria, and review manufacturer test procedures and inspection test plans.
• Engage, brief, and manage external commissioning agents, including quality assurance of their inspection reports.
• Attend manufacturer facilities for first-of-kind and complex equipment assemblies.
• Issue and track non-conformance reports, maintain the defect register, and report on rectification progress and delivery risks.
• Monitor manufacturing schedules against construction programs and escalate risks early.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in quality assurance, factory inspection, commissioning, or engineering in data centre, mission-critical, or heavy electrical/mechanical manufacturing environments.
• Trade qualification or tertiary degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong technical knowledge of HV/LV switchboards, generators, UPS systems, and transformers, with working knowledge of cooling and HVAC.
• Ability to interpret drawings, single-line diagrams, and specifications.
• Demonstrated FAT witnessing experience and structured NCR and defect management skills.
• Experience managing external commissioning agents or third-party inspection bodies, with willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.
