TL;DR
C# Software Engineer (Messaging): Building and evolving high-performance RESTful APIs and backend microservices for a globally distributed messaging platform with an accent on scalable distributed systems, reliability, and cloud services. Focus on optimizing throughput, designing asynchronous and multithreaded services, integrating queue engines, and ensuring quality through unit and integration testing.
Location: Remote in the Philippines

What you will do
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend microservices for a core messaging platform.
- Expand and evolve high-throughput, scalable, and globally distributed services.
- Optimize platform performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Write unit tests and participate in integration test design.
- Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders on requirements and technical alignment.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Expert knowledge of C# and .NET Core.
- Strong understanding of RESTful web services and microservices architecture.
- Experience with multithreaded and asynchronous application development, RabbitMQ or Kafka, and SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, CI/CD, and cloud platforms.
- Written and verbal fluency in English is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with highly loaded, mission-critical distributed systems in production.
- Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Helm, or Istio.
- Exposure to communications or messaging domains.
- Experience with AI tools, LLM APIs, or designing AI agents.
