Software Engineer (Aura)

Location: Hybrid work from the Malmö office; engineering teams also work from the London office.

What you will do

• Build core infrastructure for managing hirify.global database instances on the Aura cloud platform.
• Design and develop HTTP APIs, data persistence logic, asynchronous and event-driven services, and third-party integrations.
• Create scalable, reliable infrastructure for thousands of users and mission-critical systems.
• Contribute to both backend and frontend development across the services and user-experience layers.
• Maintain internal APIs, customer support tooling, and build and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with distributed teams in Malmö and London and apply automated testing from unit tests through full-stack integration tests.

Requirements

• Strong Python or Go skills and willingness to work in both languages.
• Moderate Kubernetes skills.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with backend service development, APIs, persistence, asynchronous processing, and service integrations.
• Proficiency with automated testing approaches, including unit and full-stack integration testing.
• Comfort working in a hybrid, distributed team connected to the Malmö and London offices.

Nice to have

• Production experience with the technologies used by the team.
• Experience with React.
• Experience with Docker and cloud platforms including GCP, AWS, or Azure.
