Lead Data Scientist (AI)

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, evaluation, and production deployment of machine learning, generative AI, and agentic solutions.
• Translate scientific and business problems into robust, reusable models, components, and AI-enabled applications.
• Apply and evaluate state-of-the-art published methods and models on hirify.global data and use cases.
• Build reproducible pipelines, evaluation harnesses, APIs, and scalable production capabilities.
• Collaborate with the AI Chemist Lead on chemistry, molecular discovery, R&D, formulation, Creative, and Consumer applications.
• Guide junior data scientists and collaborate with engineering, UX, scientific, and business teams.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in data science, computer science, machine learning, statistics, engineering, chemistry, physics, computational biology, or another quantitative STEM discipline.
• At least 5 years of applied data science or machine learning experience in industry, including delivery from problem definition through production use.
• Expertise in machine learning, deep learning, statistical modeling, rigorous model evaluation, generative AI, foundation models, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic workflows.
• Experience with production ML engineering, reproducible pipelines, APIs, cloud platforms, and MLOps.
• Understanding of scientific data and workflows, with the ability to learn chemistry, formulation, and R&D contexts.
• Knowledge of Chinese AI models, local technology ecosystems, deployment constraints, and user experience expectations.

• Recognized expertise in applied data science and scalable AI/ML solutions.
• Experience localizing globally developed AI products for Chinese models, infrastructure, language, and user requirements.
• Strong scientific and engineering judgment with experience assessing model performance, data quality, architecture, security, and business value.
