TL;DR
Data Solution Lead (Azure): Designing and iterating enterprise-level data platforms and solutions for healthcare analytics with an accent on Azure data engineering, data architecture, and stakeholder requirements translation. Focus on building data models and ETL/ELT integrations, implementing Tableau or Power BI reporting, and integrating AI productivity tools and RAG pipelines.

Location: Beijing or Shanghai, China

What you will do

  • Design and iterate enterprise-level data platforms and solutions primarily on Microsoft Azure, with occasional AWS use.
  • Translate business and IT requirements into technical data solutions for the Innovative Medicine China portfolio.
  • Define data architecture and engineering practices covering data modeling, ETL/ELT, integration, and governance.
  • Implement dashboards and reports in Tableau or Power BI for business stakeholders.
  • Lead a third-party technical team, provide technical guidance, and implement the data engineering governance framework.
  • Communicate architecture, delivery updates, and expectations clearly with stakeholders in China and across the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on data engineering experience, including at least 3 years focused on Azure cloud services.
  • Strong expertise in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, and related Azure data services.
  • Experience with Tableau or Power BI and the ability to explain complex data architectures to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience leading data projects, managing stakeholders, and working in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Clear English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

  • Azure Data Engineering or Databricks Data Engineer certification.
  • Hands-on experience with AI productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot or Kiro.
  • Understanding of GenAI fundamentals and experience building RAG pipelines or custom AI agents with frameworks such as LangChain.
