Product Manager - Retail Expert (AI)

What you will do

• Lead discovery, roadmap, and strategy conversations with enterprise retailers and suppliers across operations, merchandising, and executive teams.
• Maintain current expertise in commerce, marketplace, and dropship workflows, including order orchestration, inventory synchronization, supplier compliance, and fulfillment models.
• Gather customer insights through interviews, feedback, analytics, and market research to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
• Translate complex retail and managed-commerce workflows into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business cases using AI where appropriate.
• Use AI research, analytics, coding assistants, and agentic or low-code tools to prototype, validate, and sometimes ship production-ready functionality.
• Partner with Engineering and Design, monitor product metrics, optimize enhancements, and experiment with AI-enabled workflows that improve delivery and decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Consulting, eCommerce, Supply Chain, or another technology-focused role, ideally including retail, dropship, marketplace, EDI, or B2B commerce.
• Ability to hold in-depth, credible business conversations with enterprise customers and engage senior retail stakeholders.
• Hands-on daily experience with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar, plus comfort using AI-assisted development or agentic/low-code tools to prototype or ship real functionality; this skill may be demonstrated during the interview.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to move between technical detail and executive-level business framing.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Curiosity about emerging AI technologies, willingness to experiment with new tools, and a collaborative mindset across disciplines.
