Underwriter & Probate Specialist (LegalTech)

What you will do

• Analyze funded probate cases and review documentation to assess case merits and required actions.
• Perform due diligence and make recommendations on funding approvals and denials.
• Collaborate with team members to evaluate and close fundings.
• Communicate with heirs, attorneys, and the sales team regarding case evaluations and decisions.
• Maintain accurate records of case materials, details, and decisions.
• Support portfolio management, ad hoc projects, and improvements to due diligence processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills, sound judgment, and the ability to comprehend legal documents.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Tech savvy and able to maintain thorough, accurate records.
• Motivation to contribute to a high-energy, results-oriented team.

Nice to have

• Probate-related experience.
• Senior paralegal background.
• Previous underwriting or portfolio management experience.
