Paralegal - Global Finance

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 annually if located in Illinois, plus bonus eligibility and benefits.

What you will do

• Support lawyers in the Global Finance Group on commercial loans, securitizations, and other corporate finance transactions.
• Draft and arrange recordation of U.C.C. financing statements, fixture filings, and related exhibits.
• Research Article 9 and U.C.C. issues and analyze lien search reports.
• Obtain formation documents, prepare ancillary closing documents, and organize due diligence materials.
• Coordinate closings, post-closing activities, document reviews, and closing books.
• Manage multiple assignments and work overtime as required.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree with strong academic credentials.
• At least 10 years of experience at a medium or large law firm in banking or financial transactions.
• U.C.C. experience and demonstrated proficiency.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Attention to detail, sound judgment, discretion, confidentiality, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and collaborate effectively with lawyers, clients, and staff.

Nice to have

• Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program.
• Proficiency in DocuSign.
